Every artist already has one — the impression left after a casting, a shoot, a scroll past your profile. We’ll define the room you want to be called into, in one sentence, and test every choice against it.
Clothing is read before a word is spoken. What to wear on camera, what shimmers, what disappears, and how a narrow, repeated palette makes your images read as one person.
Light, sound, framing — in that order — with the phone you already own. Self-tapes, auditions and social video that look intentional, filmed at home.

Common Closet Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working in service of human expression. We provide wardrobe, styling and visibility support to performers, models, actors and image-makers — and we help artists shape how they present themselves: building a personal brand that is genuinely theirs, and learning to film themselves for self-tapes, auditions and social media. As generated media becomes ordinary, work made by people must be seen clearly, on its own terms. That is why this masterclass is free to attend.
Is the masterclass really free?
Yes — attending the masterclass is free. Common Closet Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; this event is funded by patrons who believe human-made expression is not replaceable. Seats are limited, so after you register our team confirms each seat personally.
Who is it for?
Actors, models, performers, dancers, musicians and image-makers — early in their careers or changing direction. You don’t need a following, a manager or professional photographs. Bring a friend if you like — just note it when you register so we hold the seats.
Do I need experience or equipment?
No. A recent phone is more than enough — we’ll show you why light and sound matter more than the camera. Beginners are exactly who this is for.
Where and how long?
At our Beverly Hills showroom. Plan for an afternoon. We’ll confirm the exact date, time and address by email after you register.
What should I bring?
Your phone, and if you like, one or two garments you consider “yours” — we’ll use them when we talk wardrobe. Everything else is provided.
What happens after the masterclass?
If you want to go further, you can apply to our Voices program — wardrobe, styling and visibility support for working artists, also provided free of charge. There is no obligation either way.
